AC Shadows Unveils Unexpected Attack on Titan Event for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre collaboration that challenges traditional predictions, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the official statement, "A strange encounter pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous transformations echo through the shadows." The plot features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine cult.
The mission centers on "strange trials and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Changes
The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a powerful moment showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Extra Content
Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an unique katana together with several objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-themed costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe

Latest Free Story Content
This patch also adds the game's newest free story addition, titled "A Puzzlement." This humorous adventure pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they trade characteristic skills: Naoe reveals a theatrical version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns subduing stealth takedowns. True to its name, "A Puzzlement" also features a original environmental puzzle that may eventually shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
